Lexi jumped 2 rounds, this was her first time jumping xc style fences, she jumped very well made sure to clear everything with plenty of space to spare as you can see!

This week I went down to a friends yard (run by showjumpers Alice Watson and Mark Dorgan) in Hampshire.
I had a really good time and got to ride some lovely top class horses.

Today we jumped at Chivenor Saddle Club in the 85 and 95cm classes. In the 85cm Lexi went clear and in the 95cm she also did very well.

Even though this was her first time jumping this big at a competition she was very confident and bold.

We took Lexi to a 3 day show at Wales and West, she competed in 5 classes over the 3 days. In this time I felt she improved a great deal over the show, on a few occasions she was very close to getting placed. There were a average of 100 competitors per class.

Today Lexi competed at Higher Mainstone in a Riding Club event. This was Lexis first dressage competition; she performed a brilliant dressage test with marks of up to 8 out of 10. There were 10 other competitors; Lexi was the youngest horse in the class and won with a overall mark of 66.9%.

Today we competed at The Grange EC. Lexi jumped the 70cm and 80cm classes clear was in 3rd place until near the the end of the class where she just dropped off the end of the placings! Once again she behaved perfectly and showed a brilliant attitude to her work as well as great technique over the jumps.

After Bicton showjumping show Lexi had a few days off to recover and was brought back into work in preparation for a competition at The Grange EC in Okehampton on 8th July.  Since Bicton I have jumped Lexi a couple of times, she learns exceptionally fast and is starting to understand what it's all about! I am very pleased with her and very much looking forward to the coming competition.

Today was the first day of Bicton Arena showjumping meet. We arrived on Friday and rode Lexi around the showground to let her see where she was and get used to her surroundings. On Saturday I rode Lexi in her first class, an 80cm schooling round, she had a clear round until the last jump.  This was her first time in the ring and she behaved perfectly! She also jumped on Sunday in another 80cm schooling round and jumped very well. This show showed her potential as a competitive showjumping horse for the future.

On the 16th May we picked up my new horse Lexi who came from a lovely home in Somerset
I have now had her 3 weeks and she has behaved impeccably!
